Top 3 Funny, Random Holidays to Celebrate in March
Don’t be fooled: March is not only about Irish kisses and shamrock wishes! To us at Madison Park Greetings, luck is believing you are lucky! And whether it is March 17th or September 17th, we ALWAYS feel lucky to have such an amazing group of women artists to spotlight on our greeting cards (sorry, Saint Patrick). So whilst you wait to enjoy your green beer and lose an hour of sleep when we “spring ahead” to Daylight Saving Time, check out our Top 3 “Holidays” to honor in the month of March!
International Women’s Day (March 8)
A global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – count us in! The women that make up the talented roster of MPG artists is about to grow as we add three more fierce females to our line: Emma Schonenberg, Emiko Leach, and Kathy Cano-Murillo! We can’t wait to share their amazing art with all of you. But until then, we will celebrate this day by highlighting the art of one of our original artists – Rachael Schafer! We hope you may be inspired to reach out and honor the wonderful women in your life by sending them some inspirational snail mail love!
“Together We Can Move Mountains” – Inside Verse: “Together we are one unstoppable force.”
National Puppy Day (March 23)
We move from celebrating fierce females to pawsitively perfect puppies! It truly is hard to get better than that! As the great American artist Norman Rockwell once quipped, “If a picture wasn’t going very well, I’d put a puppy in it.” And who could blame him? The cute cuddles and slobbering kisses of our loyal canine companions are some of the true simple joys of life. But National Puppy Day has another goal: bringing awareness to the horrors of puppy mills and the benefits of adopting a shelter pet. So to all those puppies that have put their pawprints all over our hearts, this day (and beautiful greeting card) is for you!
“Happy Birthday to the Leader of the Pack” – Inside Verse: “Here’s to you!”
Respect Your Cat Day (March 28)
Remember how we didn’t think it could get better? It just did! Dogs aren’t the only furry family members that deserve celebrating! Some studies have even shown that 44% of Americans prefer their cats over their friends! To all of the cats that we will love “meow and furever”, this day is for you! But as every cat owner would tell you, NOBODY owns a cat! Yet we sure do respect them and send our love to those with us on Earth and waiting beyond at the Rainbow Bridge (as highlighted beautifully in this Hoopla! Letters greeting card).
“Time Spent with a Cat is Never Wasted” – Inside Verse: “Heartfelt Condolences”
Until next month,
Madison Park Greetings
